As a child abuse survivor, I entered the fostercare system after being taken away from my single parent home due to addiction and mental health disorders.
My dream was to climb the corporate ladder until I realized how soul-crushing that old paradigm was. As an entrepreneur, I struggled with attaching self-worth with my bank account. Receiving money in direct comparison with how much time and service I was giving- hello burnout. Ultimately, building beautiful billboards and then hiding behind them (the accolades, client list, sales and my busy badge of honor) because I had no sense of true identity. My coping mechanism from previous traumas was to outwork and outperform them.
Until it was no longer possible and then my world came tumbling down. Rebuilding took time, effort, processing, tools and love.
This is now what I help my clients with - figuring out and rebuilding who they always were before they were told who to be.
